Risk and operational advisory
Most of what I get called about is not a mystery. An asset is underperforming and nobody can say exactly why. A management company is not delivering what the agreement says it will. A transition is coming and the organization is not ready for it. I find out what is actually happening, tell you plainly, and help you fix it.
Expert witness
I am retained by counsel in disputes involving real estate operations, property and asset management standards, and the duties owed by owners, managers, and boards. I review the record, form an opinion, and explain it in terms a judge or jury can follow.

About
I began my career at Price Waterhouse and spent the next four decades in real estate, most recently as Chief Operating Officer. I have run multifamily, office, retail, and mixed use portfolios, and I have sat on the boards that oversee them.
I am a CPA. I studied accounting at Drexel and completed the executive management program at the Wharton School. I founded the Philadelphia chapter of the National Association of Real Estate Companies, co founded the Philadelphia Real Estate Resource Group, and served on the board of the Pennsylvania Apartment Association.
I work with a small number of clients at a time, which means the person you hire is the person doing the work.
